Japanese volunteers and non-Japanese students speak in Japanese while learning about one another’s culture. This is also a place where non-Japanese people can learn about Japanese culture and customs. The classes are offered in a salon-style, allowing students to join casually while enjoying tea.

Night course: 7 to 9pm (not held on public holidays)

Second and Fourth Thursday of the Month (Morning Parent-Child Course) Currently Suspended

*Closed on public holidays, during the Obon and New Year’s holidays, and on the third Thursday of each month

Requirements for Participation

Non-Japanese people who can speak Japanese and live, work, or study in Arakawa City

Fees

Wednesday course: ¥100 per session (cost of tea)
*The Monday course and Parent-Child Salon on Thursdays are free

Other Information

Political activities, educational ideologies, religious invitations, product sales, and other activities not related to the salon’s activities are prohibited.
